Back in Fall of 2019, the guys & I went into an underground bunker to record a slew of new songs. The original plan was to release them together as an album, but the world went a bit... crazy, so we waited. A few years later now and a lot of those songs have been cut, but “Strangerous” was one I always knew we'd release when the time was right. That time is today.
It's a song about embracing your weirdness and encouraging others to not let anyone tell them they are strange for being who or how they are. It will also rock 👏 THE 👏 FUCK 👏 out 👏 of 👏 you.
Big shoutout to the the boys SupaBass & Antwon Dixon. In my humble opinion, this is the best I've ever heard either of them play, especially when you consider it was done live in one take! I'm honored to have y'all on this track. Sidenote: I'm glad I pushed young Dixon a bit hard to get that drum fill for the bridge (you'll know when you hear it)😅
Big thanks to Chuck Macak for making this sound like a million bucks. You saved this song in many different ways (as did Eric Olsen). I'm forever indebted to the undeniable production team of Houston Hill & Mantis Evar who are geniuses that know how to catch lightening in a bottle. And of course, Anna Amoros for getting the visual vibe of this song down.
Embrace the strange.
Embrace the chaos.
Enjoy Strangerous.
