Bewitching Pool -- Out Now

When asked what drives me to create, my answer has always been the same: my anger. Whether leaving toxic situations or being accountable to my flaws, it’s all a process of creation and the drive behind it has always been a pissed off kid angry enough to do something about it.

Recently, I’ve been facing a lot of resistance and negativity for just trying to be myself. These past 2 years saw things happen with the sole intention of keeping me from releasing music ever again. I’ve always prided myself on being able to turn the venom of opposition into the basis of my courage. However for this brief period of time, that wasn't the case.

This song is important because it’s about when I became vulnerable to that venom again. I forgot how to turn it into fuel; instead allowing it to slow me down, because deep down I felt that's what I deserved. Sometimes drowning is a choice. Thankfully, coming back up can be too.

Mondo NYC Music Festival and Tech Conference

An inside look into what Mondo NYC was like from the perspective of a fella in the music industry. It was quite a trip meeting so many passionate and intelligent people in both the music and tech worlds. We even got to close out the festival with our showcase at NORD!

Oktoberfest at Queens Bully

Who in their right mind would turn down a chance to MC an Oktoberfest? Especially if there's a Steinholding contest involved (that's Extreme Mug Holding for those not in the know). NOT THIS GUY! We got invited back the super awesome Queens Bully in order to lend some music and vibes to the event. Watch to see grown men test their strength (*ahem*SupaBass*ahem*), and keep an eye peeled for surprise cameos! Naturally, the post-show grub was ON POINT.

Queens Night Market GigVlog

This week we plunge deep into the heart of Queens, New York and play at one of our favorite events; The Queens Night Market! One of the coolest things about the event is how it brings together a variety of cuisines from all over the globe and puts them all within a few feet of each other! We're talking everything from Mauritian food to Shark Sandwiches of the Caribbean (basically foodie heaven)! Although a broken guitar string and some rainy weather did present some challenges, it takes a lot more than that to stop us from bringing the acoustic vibes and of course... enjoying some good eats!!

Make Music New York!

Make Music NY is an all day event during the summer where the streets of New York’s burroughs are filled with the sound of live music! We were curious as to how much of our music we'd be able to spread throughout our lovely city, and the result was a fun day filled with great weather, awesome grub, light acoustic vibes, and lots of laughs!

ItsInQueens Podcast at Resorts World Casino!

We were invited to go on the ItsInQueens Podcast and play a song for them! What's even cooler was that they were filming inside of Resorts World Casino! To say we had a blast would be an understatement, BUT we had to celebrate properly afterwards, so that meant finally introducing SupaBass to Dani’s Pizza!

Trick or Treat, Witches

It's the most wonderful time of the year! #Halloween!

What better way of celebrating than engaging in grand acts of passion towards the very evil-doers of your heart? It's like TP'ing someone's house, only there's a lot less to clean up afterwards (or a lot more depending on how you roll)! And what better music to have scoring the joyous occasion than our take on a timeless classic?

Remember children, the key to any kind of criminal achievement is to always have fun and be yourself. Stay safe out there!

Black Sclera [LIVE] at MicroSessions

Last week we shared a vlog of our time performing at Microsessions in NYC. It was a great time and it we had 2 great performances result out of it. I always strive to make Spells and Curses more of a live experience than simply an auditory one. With that that said, I wanted to share with you a performance of our song "Black Sclera" (off our album SUADADE) that I feel is the definitive live version of the song. Enjoy

MicroSessions NYC at Spaceworks LIC!

We got a chance to be a part of the wonder live music experiment that is #Microsessions (held at none other than #SpaceworksLIC)! Take a behind the scenes look at the pre + post show shenanigans featuring shrunken human skulls, candle-lit stage lighting, sexy dark energies, rock n' roll goodness, The Son of Prince, and #DanisPizza.

Northside Festival 2018 @ Pine Box Rock Shop (GigVlog)

Deep in the heart of Brooklyn lies a former coffin shop that now serves craft beer and vegan sliders! Now THAT sounded like a venue we HAD TO play. Fast-forward to Northside Festival 2018 and we were invited to perform our set at the one and only Pine Box Rock Shop. Some of the audio later got corrupted, but I was able to salvage the good parts... (I think). We also snuck some new songs into the setlist!

Montauk Music Festival Day 2! (GigVlog)

What do you get when you combine 4 studs, 1 lighthouse, an entire bridal party, and 2 rock shows all in one day? You get the DAY 2 video of our Montauk adventure! Watch as we navigate through rude girls in yellow jackets who don't stfu during acoustic performances and much more!

Montauk Music Festival (GigVlog)

The video for Day 1 of our stint at Montauk Music Festival is finally up! I gotta admit, looking back on it was a real trip (pun intended). We played 3 shows the first day and 2 shows the next which is no easy task! But all in all, it was a solid learning experience for us and we got to meet some awesome people along the way. So strap yourselves in as you watch 4 city-dwelling boys hit the road and journey deep into the heart of Montauk, where they ultimately find themselves and their friendship in the process.

Wait a minute, that sounds like the plot for the movie Crossroads...

GigVlog - The Bonnie

Our first time playing The Bonnie featured many other important firsts; the 1st time theRave publicly performed with a fully shaped beard,  the 1st time we debuted some new songs, the 1st time theRave played with a "non-pick" pick, the 1st time we were rewarded with some cheese fries, and the 1st time theProfessor made his singing debut in front of a live audience! It was truly a night to remember featuring many memorable moments. See for yourself:

New Music is Here (Yet Again)

The last song I uploaded was one I put into the vault but ultimately decided to release. In the weeks since then, I've combed through a few of the unreleased stuff lying around the vault and found a song that I felt captures where my head's at currently. This is a song I recorded a while ago, but the words still ring true for me at this point in life. I suppose there's a trend happening here...

I think everyone we know (and perhaps ourselves too, if we're being honest) is going through some deep stuff. Maybe it's really heavy, maybe it's just nagging, but it's ultimately unhealthy if we keep it bottled up. Let's just remember to be kind to ourselves and ask for help when we might otherwise be too spiteful, prideful, or scared to. Let's remember that we are not alone; not on this earth, and certainly not in this life. We are all here, and have each other for a reason.

Hit me up if you need to talk.
